I'm a Big Kid Now, 10-31-07

Day of Life: 20
Let everything that hath breath, Praise ye the Lord!

Good evening to all. Dani Jo wanted to show off her first baby doll. They can almost wear the same clothes. =)
Update: We have just received a phone call from Dani Jo's Doctor, Dr. Parsons, confirming that Dani Jo has Central Congenital Hypoventilation Syndrome. We have read on this right much, however there is not a lot out there, because this is such a rare condition. 1 in 200,000 babies. We are meeting with Dr. Parsons on this in the morning on the plan for Dani Jo's future.
We are not sure of what is in store for our family, but we do know that God is in control of our situation and He has never failed us yet! OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME! We are continuing to give God all praise and glory for our precious bundle of joy. God is still in control. We know that God doesn't make mistakes and we will accept her just the way she is. We have already given Dani Jo back to our Lord and Saviour as I have said in our previous blog. She is His and He can use her any way He chooses.
He is working even now in our little Dani Jo and our family. On Him we build our strength and press forward. We are standing firm on God's word that He will not put on us too much that we can handle. When we see one set of footprints in the sand, it is then He is carrying us. We are trusting in His word and our faith WILL NOT FALTER!!!!! We love our Lord and know that He is keeping us. Thank you again for your prayers!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Good afternoon everyone!! Today is a good day. Dani Jo has had a good morning and afternoon. I can't write much because it is time for her to feed. She will take a bottle this time, because they are doing a sleep study on her. This is a 12 or 24 hour test that will see how many times she stops breathing. The test doesn't bother me, because I know my God has her in His big hands. Just wanted to thank everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers. We love you all!

Dani Jo Hearl
Day of Life: 19
The Doctors say "Day of Life"!!
My God says "Let everything that hath Breath, Praise ye the Lord"!!!!

Sorry for the delay in an update on Dani Jo. The past few days have definitely been a roller coaster for our family. Dani Jo doesn't seem to be progressing very much in her SATS! She is having many DeSats, where her oxygen drops into the 30's & 40's (normal is 95-100). The nurses have to stimulate her to wake her up from her deep sleeps. She is exhausted from not resting well.
Praise Report: Dani Jo is 7 days off the ventilator tomorrow!! No More Feeding tube--she is nursing all her feeds. She is very alert and active when she is awake. She has no IV's, tubes or PIC Line.
Joey went back to work yesterday and I came to the hospital alone. WOW what a long day! I have to admit, ONLY by the grace of God I am usually pretty strong and I usually stand stedfast, however when Joey wasn't there by my side, I realized he was my leg of strength as well. I really count on him for encouragement more than I thought. This experience has drawn my family nigh to each other and nigh most importantly to our Lord and Savior.
As you can see above, God has blessed us with our very own angel. God has a plan for our family. She will get better in the name of Jesus!! She will amaze all Doctors and nurses for God's healing is in the making!
Just as we have given to God our precious daughters, Jordan 3yr old & Jamie 1yr old----we have also given to God our beautiful Dani Jo 19 days! No matter what the circumstance, God will see us through and either way Dani Jo WINS!!! The battle has already been won, we have given God the victory and He deserves all Glory & Honor for He is still in the miracle business today. Just as Daniel was saved from the Lions, and Jonah from the whale and Paul and Silas in Prison, and Blind man, Lame man and the lady with the blood disease, and most importantly Jarius' daughter healed completely from the dead! MY GOD REIGNS ON HIGH AND HE IS GREATLY TO BE PRAISED! WE WILL UPLIFT HIM WITH SONG AND PRAISE IN THE GOOD AND BAD TIMES! On good days and "not so good days". He is still in control of our situation! HE IS THE GREAT "HEALING" PHYSICIAN!
I want to end with this---until tonight I was pretty much convinced that my child had Central Congenital Hypoventilation Syndrome a rare syndrome 1 in 200,000 babies. I read the following testimony http://www.runningintojesus.com/josh's_story.htm that my husband found. God put this testimony before my family's eyes for a reason and that was for us to "Trust & Obey"! From this day forward, I will step down from the fight, for MY GOD has won the battle!
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and most of all your support. Today we re-give Dani Jo back where she belongs, safe in the ARMS OF JESUS!

Friday, 10-26-07

Today is Friday--Ok Day!!....We have had better days, but know that God is still working His miracles in our little Dani Jo. The doctors ended up having to put an IV line in Dani Jo. She wasn't tolerating her feeds as anticipated. She has also had several episodes where she is trying to stop breathing. They have her on a nose oxygen tube versus the ventilator, but she sometimes takes such shallow breaths, that is makes the monitors go crazy.

Jordan and Jamie spent the day with my friend Whitney--so they are (I'm sure) are being spoiled rotten! It is a big adjustment with Mommy and Daddy being gone most of the day and just having to deal with a different way of life, but God is keeping all of us strong.

Dad and I are tired today---we are leaning on our Lord totally for strength! God is still in Control!!!

Thursday 10-25-07

Today was a good day. Dani Jo did not stop breathing at all. She was breathing on her own all night Wednesday and all day today. They started her back on her feeds. If she tolerates her feedings then she will not have to have another IV line put in. We are keeping the Faith!

Sunday, 10-14-07

10-14-07

Sunday October 14, 2007, Dani Jo was transported to Brenner's Children's Hospital at Baptist. At birth the Doctors found that Dani Jo was having difficulty breathing on her own. They weren't able to pin point why this was happening. Usually one can stimulate the baby to remind him/her to breathe on his/her own, however, Dani Jo was not responding to this, so they decided to transport her to Brenners for further detailed tests. Meanwhile she was put on a ventilater down her throat until they were able to determined what was going on?

Hello everyone,

This is our new baby Dani Jo's website to share with our friends and family. I just found out about it and wanted to send this link to everyone. As many of you already know--Dani Jo was born at Forsyth Hospital on October 12, 2007 at 4:17 pm. She was 18.5 inches long and 5lbs 5.1oz. She was born at 34 weeks! Her due date was suppose to be November 22, 2007. She was very anxious and didn't want to stay any longer. She seemed to be very healthy.

Because most of you have been getting updated emails each day, some of the following will seem a little redundant. We are just wanting everyone to get the chance to meet our miracle and follow our progress each day. We thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts for your gifts, cards, encouraging emails, phone calls, but most importantly your unfaltered faith that God will heal our baby girl. This experience has been one that could only be dealt with through the strength and mercy of our Lord and Savior. For what we have endured thus far, is only God's plan for our bundle of joy. Check back each day for an update on Dani Jo's progress.

In Christ,

Joey, Amanda, Jordan, Jamie, & Dani Jo Hearl
